How 100% Recycled Paper is Made: Step 2
Step Two in the process of how our 100% recycled paperboard is manufactured:
Pictured is one of our three Hydrapulpers. The smallest is 12’ in diameter and holds approximately 2500 pounds, the next is 14’ in diameter and holds approximately 5000 pounds of pulp, and our largest is 18’ and holds 8000 pounds of pulp. The Hydrapulpers aggressively combine recyclable paper and hot water to form pulp. After about 25-45 minutes, this mixture reaches a desired consistency and is removed through extraction plates and pumped to the next phase known as – High Density Cleaning.
